In the first week of owning this device, I thought I might have made a terrible mistake. My skin, which is prone to breakouts but was under control, started to break out like crazy. I was even using the sensitive brush. I noticed that much of it was a resurfacing of previous breakouts that I thought had healed. My skin DID feel significantly cleaner, but the breakouts had me skeptical.

I'm not sure how much of it was due to using the enclosed cleansers, or just a 'purging' period. After the first week, I gave up on them and switched back to what I normally used and never had problems with. My skin started to clear up near the end of week 2.

Through week 3 my skin completed healing from the initial breakout. The new skin was unbelievably smooth, pores much smaller and fine lines less noticeable. I noticed morning eye puffiness readily disappears while cleaning with the device. Any flakiness is also removed.

At week 4 my skin was fabulously clear and luminescent. My skin which is normally prone to redness, is now a nice creamy color. I no longer need foundation, I just use a translucent mineral powder to tone down any shine. Also my face is much less oily, which is a plus for me. Skincare products absorb amazingly well after cleaning, so I use less product.

My advice is to stick with your own cleanser if it already works for you. It will only work better with this device! Also start with the sensitive brush until it is clear that you will need the 'normal' one. I did that after week 2.

Additionally, do not leave the device in the shower. Remove the brush daily and clean it with anitbacterial soap (Hibiclens is great for this) and a spritz of peroxide after you rinse it. Let it completely air dry overnight. This will inhibit bacterial growth. I believe not taking care in this manner may be what is causing some users to have breakouts beyond the first month of use.

Be patient, keep with the skincare products you already use, if they work for you. You will reap the benefits after a few weeks! I am so glad now that I spent the money on this gadget.
